Searching for Goodness Podcast

Join us on our new podcast, we will be interviewing people from all sorts of life about science and spirituality. This is a documentary/podcast series about everything! Our focus shifts from spirituality to arts and sciences. We have a YouTube streaming channel and now we are exploring the Podcast to get our voices heard and get attention to matters that concerns the whole world and human race. Our goal is to focus on things that unite us and connect bridges between differences. The initial idea of this show was created a few years back by Bessy Adut. She would like to turn this into a feature film someday and travel to Antarctica to interview the researchers and scientists over there. Next goal is to continue with a documentary series like an explorer. We had many team members on this journey lately working with Armin Nasseri as a co-producer, filming and editing together as well as New Faces LA and some more other creative collaborators. Goal is to reach out to whole world.

In this episode of Searching for Goodness, host Bessy Adut sits down with comedian and content creator Javier Knight for an honest and inspiring conversation about creativity, resilience, and purpose.

Bessy first discovered Javier through a viral Instagram video unpacking Bad Bunny’s lyrics, songs we often dance to without realizing how deeply emotional and bittersweet their messages can be. That moment sparked a connection, and Bessy reached out.

When another guest became unavailable during Black History Month, Javier stepped in, leading to a meaningful discussion about what it truly means to keep going, even when the odds feel stacked against you.

Together, Bessy and Javier talk about:
Going after your dreams without giving up
Growing up as the “weird kids” who were bullied
Turning adversity into creative fuel
Animals, the environment, and keeping our oceans clean
Creating content with intention
Navigating sponsorships and brand partnerships
Although they come from different paths, they discover how much they have in common. In the social media world, Javier has also become a mentor Bessy deeply respects.
This episode runs 28 minutes and 46 seconds and is co-produced and co-edited by Armin Nasseri.

Searching for Goodness – Season 3, Episode 3
Finding Stories
Welcome to Searching for Goodness. We’re so glad you’re here. In Finding Stories, Bessy reconnects with her longtime friend Selçuk Ceylan from Turkey, reflecting on their shared journey as young creatives.
Bessy and Selçuk co-wrote a feature screenplay inspired by a true story blended with fantasy, titled The Turk. She fondly remembers how they boarded a train to Ankara to pick up their screenwriting development grant award many years ago. Time and distance led them on different paths. Bessy moved to Los Angeles to pursue screenwriting and filmmaking, while Selçuk went to Berlin, building a career in arts, music, teaching, and writing stories for children. Their friendship has passed the test of time and distance.
Our conversation opens into Searching for Goodness themes: environmental awareness, birds, storytelling, and what goodness means today and how stories help us connect more deeply with one another and the world.

Searching for Goodness

Listen to your heart and the hearts of others  that's where you'll start finding goodness. Once Nietzsche said "Don't stare into abyss or abyss stares back at you."This is also true for goodness, the more you look into goodness the more goodness looks back at you. The more we look for light, the more we are going to be able shed the light on the truths.
