When another guest became unavailable during Black History Month, Javier stepped in, leading to a meaningful discussion about what it truly means to keep going, even when the odds feel stacked against you.

Finding Stories
Welcome to Searching for Goodness. We’re so glad you’re here. In Finding Stories, Bessy reconnects with her longtime friend Selçuk Ceylan from Turkey, reflecting on their shared journey as young creatives.
Bessy and Selçuk co-wrote a feature screenplay inspired by a true story blended with fantasy, titled The Turk. She fondly remembers how they boarded a train to Ankara to pick up their screenwriting development grant award many years ago. Time and distance led them on different paths. Bessy moved to Los Angeles to pursue screenwriting and filmmaking, while Selçuk went to Berlin, building a career in arts, music, teaching, and writing stories for children. Their friendship has passed the test of time and distance.
Our conversation opens into Searching for Goodness themes: environmental awareness, birds, storytelling, and what goodness means today and how stories help us connect more deeply with one another and the world.

In the final episode of Season 2 of Searching for Goodness, we celebrate global voices from Türkiye who have made their mark on the world stage.
This special finale features two standout stand up comedians Sarper Güven and Ahmet Bilge, filmed in West Hollywood before their show at the legendary The Comedy Store.
Host Bessy Adut introduces Sarper and Ahmet and then steps back as they interview each other in an honest, funny and insightful conversation. We get sneak peeks into Sarper’s breakthrough journey in 90 Day Fiancé, along with laugh out loud moments from Ahmet’s performances.
